Troubled Monk

Since 2012, Troubled Monk has been brewing from their 15 barrel brewhouse in Red Deer. They use local filtered water, and Canadian hops and malt from Canada and Alberta as much as possible to make their distinctly flavoured brews. They produce Golden Greta Golden Ale, Juicy Gossip New England IPA, Open Road American Brown Ale, Daycation Lager and Pesky Pig Pale Ale on a year-round basis, so you can always be sure they’re available.

Visit their rustic taproom for a huge menu of beer, cocktails and snacks.

Sawback Brewing Company

This taproom-focused brewery specializes in small-batches of almost every style of beer. Using Alberta-grown barley and water from the Red Deer River which originates in the Canadian Rockies Sawback Mountain range, local is woven into their DNA. Drop by for a brewery tour or a stop into their taproom where they often have live entertainment.

Snake Lake Brewing Company

Just a short drive from Red Deer in Sylvan Lake, Snake Lake Brewing has a taproom where you can enjoy a wide variety of snacks and food, cocktails, and of course, their beer! Visitors are encouraged to hang out and even play a board game over drinks, making the experience all the more welcoming and casual.
