Well Canada, you’re sure looking great for being over 150!

Canada Day 2024 in Jasper, Hinton, Edson and Red Deer – it’s just days away!  This is our mini-guide to the can’t miss celebrations in our favourite Alberta towns. Parades, pancakes, music and fun… start planning your long weekend here.

Ok, let’s do this!

Canada Day in Hinton

Start the day with pancakes at Green Square between 8am and 11am. Follow up by finding a good spot for the Canada Day parade that begins at 9:30am.

Canada Day in Jasper

Pancakes and a parade are also happening in nearby Jasper for Canada Day 2024.  Enjoy breakfast at Commemoration Park at 8:30am to 10:30am and the parade at 1pm.

Canada Day in Edson

Lovely little Edson makes a BIG Canada Day splash with a full day of fun for all ages.  Start with pancakes at the Edson Legion at 9am, then from 1pm at Centennial Park, food, music, face painting, food trucks and so much more.  Activities run through to 7pm.

Canada Day in Red Deer

There are 12 HOURS of unbelievable fun from 11am to 11pm on July 1st. Bower Ponds in Great Chief Park is where we’ll wish Canada a very happy 157th birthday!  Live entertainment at the outdoor stage, cultural food stalls, bouncy castles and everything caps off with fireworks at 11pm.

So, which spot will you enjoy on July 1st?  To help you plan your weekend, have a night away or maybe two, we have some other blogs to read to round out your getaway.
